Situated in the heart of Potchefstroom (North West Province, South Africa) AGFF produce fresh product to local retailers and restaurants from a 1600 square metres yard by using unconventional methods.
Inspired and motivated by NWU and the help of the developing and upcoming business competition, the founders of AGFF started growing micro greens in six meters by two meters greenhouse on vertical growing racks.
By using this method, one could produce half a ton of micro greens on a consistent basis throughout the year, despite weather conditions.
Following the graduation of Wouter and his degree in B. Com Economics and International Trade and winning the Leopards Lair Business Competition, the team moved to a vacant plot of land which consists of 1600 square meters.
The space consists of six hundred square meters of industrial tunnels and the remainder used for office space, a small pack house and indoor vertical growing room.
This means that the micro greens you consume is extremely healthy as it is forty times more nutritional than conventional greens.
We also deliver salads and herbs which are grown to seedling in a controlled area and then planted by hand by our team into our industrial tunnels. AGFF currently provides rochet, colliander, parsley, basil, and celery throughout the year with help of their tunnels which eliminates the threat of weather conditions.
Adding some class to their range, AGFF also grows a variety of editable flowers such as marigolds and penny violas along with dianthuss.
